Born in the U.K. of Nigerian descent, Femi received his Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University. Additionally, he has an MBA from the University of Oxford as well as an undergraduate degree from the University of Baltimore. He started his law career as an Associate at Crowell & Moring LLP. Subsequently, Femi joined Weatherford International, a leading oilfield services company as a lawyer in the Office of Global Compliance. He went on to hold various positions of increasing responsibility including Region General Counsel (Legal & Compliance) for the Africa region, and eventually migrating to the business side as Managing Director of Weatherford Nigeria and subsequently, Vice President for Africa.
At Nokia, Femi was appointed Vice President, Business Integrity. His work at Nokia earned him a place on the shortlist of just 5 lawyers for the Best In-House Counsel of the Year (Europe) award.
